Stereosonic Music Festival 2011 Sydney

Yesterday we went to the Stereosonic Festival at Sydney – and boy did they delivered!!!! My most anticipated act was AVICII and was definitely my highlight, he played “enough is enough” and other topping #1 dance tracks of 2011 around the world! Other highlights were: Kaskade (played some old tracks which was great), Afrojack (he dropped “No Beef), Benny Benassi (wow, he still has some spark), surprisingly LMFAO (due to their popularity they worked the crowd well), Bloody beetroots ( played their old stuff like Warp and Dimarkation*) and Armin was okay, I think it was mainly due to the fact we have seen him 5x in 2 years, I guess too much of a good thing? Weather was fantastic and everyone was in good spirits since it was a time where everyone finished uni/tafe/school. What a way to maybe retire from the festival scene? We arrived at 1.30pm and stayed until 11pm, wow 9.5 hrs of partying, I am no longer young but I feel awesome. Thank you to the Australian dance culture, they know how to party!

Branding: New Clothing Swing Tags and Postage Satchels

Receiving clothing samples from post always feels like Christmas. In conjunction to our new logo, we thought it would make sense to change our swing tags and packaging. So when we received this, we were really excited and as it turns out, pleased! Thanks Ray Ranoa for our logo re-branding, its perfect. Visit his portfolio hereWahlah! Our new thick tags. Thanks to Morgan our Graphics designer who saw this project from start to finish – design, order etc

I quickly took a shot of our three satchels – different textures and style from my iphone camera. 1st is matt finish, 2nd is a shiny finish and the 3rd has a rope handle attached. Still deciding on which satchel we like…

Online Platforms: Ways we reach the masses

There are many ways to market and promote your fashion brand but we all know the fashion industry is a very competitive one. If you run an online store, your website is not enough to generate sales especially if its a small business. One of the most popular websites where you can set up a store (and one many big clothing businesses under-estimate) is eBay. Our eBay store is the most popular leather clothing store in Australia and we have been fortunate enough to have eBay promote us on their homepage a few times and feature in the Grazia Magazine. Some of our customers feel comfortable shopping at this store and many find out about us through here. eBay is Awesome!Westfield has approached us and we were referred by a shoe company (thank you to the unknown referrer – please let us know if it was you). The monthly cost is reasonable and sales have been okay so far – its been 2 months. We are glad ASOS Marketplace has approved our brand to create a store on their platform. It’s a small fee and they requested only ‘street’ images i.e. no professional shots. This was easy as we have already collaborated with many fashion bloggers to style our garments. It’s been only 1 week and we are already receiving a positive response. We are already ranked 57th out of 250 boutique stores. And our street images have been featured twice already in their blog.

Covetish: This is a common and easy platform and its the pay per click system. As the name suggests, we only pay when one of their visitors click on our site and purchase. Its a cute and pretty website, low overheads and its a place we like to surround ourselves.
